Heart rate training using the Maffetone method

My first negative split on the 45 min down Govan route with an average heart rate of 106..we are now well and truly cooking

Leo Sho-Silva: Glasgow, City of Glasgow, United Kingdom; I am a 51 year old hairdresser and live in Glasgow's west-end with my wife Kim and my 2 kids Ria(8) and Ima(eema,6) .I have been running for more than 30 years and my times drastically slowed down in the mid 90s which I put down to old age and too many late nights in bars and clubs. After reading Maffetones books I feel my decline could actually be due to running anaerobically too often and too many late nights in bars and clubs. This blog is about running aerobically..ie going from 7-9min pace@160bpm (anaerobic) to 16min @125(aerobic) and hopefully reaching 7-9min pace at the new low heart rate of 125(aerobic)
