DAy 79 MAM

Fastest mile was 1 min a mile slower than Friday but should really compare with Monday aft Mug!

DAy 78 MUGDOCK

I'm sure there was big improvement but who knows reached blue trough just b4 cottage in 40 mins ..that's going to be my point of reference

DAY 77 TEST DAY

Not as fast as last week so me thinking I shouldn't have ignored the day off suggestion

Not bad run so so I guess can't really remember not fastest and not slowest ..using my phone as GPS so min/mile to be added

DAY 74

Got a red don't train this morning but wasn't totally convinced ..so tried again and got a better score ..closer to yesterday's time..my sub 86bpm pace was quicker today do that's good enough for me ..average pulse was 98 couple points higher than yesterday

DAY 74

HRV plummeted and got an orange 'take it easy big man ' and I did just that ..averaging 96bpm ..warm down was quite straightforward so usually means I'm good to go tomorrow

DAY 70

Today could be the last day I don't drink 500 ml of water with a drop of mint essential oil..after reading Vincent 'leaves no stone unturned ' Oscala's post about the performance study of peppermint oil in water ..I knew I had to see it's cellular effect on my training ..doing a maf test outside wouldn't work due to too many variables like wind and humidity etc..so its 116 bpm on the turbo-trainer after a 12 minute walk at 86 bpm and 40mins at 99 then 14 minutes building up to 116 gave me a rpm of 85@116bpm

DAY 69

Again world record at 86 bpm ..reached end of block ...things are really starting to happen ..not sure what brought this on fruit soup or water ...however positive splits are starting to slip in ..which could be wind/breeze etc at play ..so ill just use Turbo as a test ..at moment its 85 rpm at 116 bpm

DAY 68

Past Mosque and round the corner ..did another 1.5hr as 86bpm speed was up compared to yesterday's best!!? ..hope thus continues ..should reach railway bridge by next week tho won't be here. Bit of a tailwind tho

Best run so far ..high PP doesn't look auspicious for tomorrow ..30 mins took me to end of mosque ....skipping breakfast and not eating after 8 seems to be making a difference

DAY 64 TEST DAY

Saturdays are going to be my test days starting from the 1st stank ..reached yellow gate just b4 bridge at 106bpm ..PP was 31 so looks promising for tomorrow tho sire foot loosing weight and big regression ..11stone 12 so weight coming down ...15% body fat

DAY 63..PB

Must admit today was a turning point ..almost reached my longest distance yet at 105 instead of 116!!??...either something bad is going to happen or a watershed ...probably just a blip ..PP in mid 30s...HRV bubbling around 60 ..ill let my 86bpm pace dictate my effort. .if its same tomorrow ill go for 116 at one hour ..see if that causes a regress

Still down so its another 106 ..different route slightly so can't compare still managing negative split got home in 1-01-20...that's impressive ..PP in mid 30s and warm down was not a struggle so hopefully that's linked to a good warm up tomorrow

Did hour @116 and there was a big regression compared to sat ...time to turn down the juice

DAY 58

After a blistering day yesterday ..it was a major regression in warm up ...I actually think warm up is the most crucial part ...although warm up way down still managed a negative split ..and didn't feel that much slower in actual run...an apre PP of 32 looks promising for Mugdock tomorrow

Over the last 10 days TS been a much of a muchness ..starting to get used to virtually no breakfast And pleased with new hrm ..with the new warm up regime <86 for 10mins and <99 last 5 mins I'm starting to get consistent results ..highest HRV of the year I'm sure ..71

DAY 28 BACk running again

Even this I had a really low HRV score I decided to go out anyway ..maybe its the slothness that's contributing to the decline..mild and drizzly so quite pleasant reached the arches so not too bad ..post PP was 33 (108/75)..which is promising for tomorrow

Again another day off....lost half s pound this week virtually no running this week ..as predicted HRV plummeted ...just correcting things

Interesting run as in I thought it was going to be a blinder ...turned out ended up at the same box just after store ..but got back 15 secs quicker than yesterday

DAY 12

Today's run ended up an aerobic fartlek ..back and forth between 105 and 118..probably best to do it on a Friday ..no negative split which I wasn't expecting ..HRV (60) was same and PP was 35ish ... decided to always take first reading unless way different from day b4 ...it can get higher after each sesh ..BP was 110/75

DAY 11

DAY 11 was a surprising slight increase in HRV which didn't reveal itself in performance ..one of the slowest yet ..but slight negative split BP was initially 120/78 ...I was going to stick with it but next 2 readings were 110/76.PP of course is 34...keep on it

Day 10 and took it off ..not out of design but I forgot to charge watch ..PP was 35 a bit higher but still OK to train ...expecting a slight drop in HRV tomorrow BP was 110/75

DAY 9 MUGDOCK

69 HRV and it was Mug so I didn't bother testing my PP yesterday as I was going up anyway ...initially it looked promising as I felt comfortable and hr was dropping quite quickly but ended up at same Point as 2 weeks ago ..v.cold and windy but very relaxed run ..very pleased ..PP this afternoon was 32(115/83) ...so its out tomorrow ..need to get watch fixed

DAY 8

Day 8. @ 06:27 starts with a HRV off 63.(+4)just as the BP machine predicted yesterday ..goin a run so I'm expecting to go further than yesterday ..ill report back....reporting back didnae bother...

DAY 7

1st week of Ayurvedic running and I must admit it brings results aerate as Pulse pressure goes....112/83

DAY 6

Again out this morning and decided to take warm up and warm down slower ..was rewarded with a post workout PP of 40 ...sticking with this as it'll make me aim for a proper warm-down...must get my HRV up to the 70s again

DAY 5

Finally got out for a run and only got to wee shop ..well its a start ..PP is 43 straight after run then 41 at usual time ..bit of a faff getting kids to school so ill just use PP post run as my benchmark as I can control that ...

DAY 4

Another day off ...lol...just not waking up HRV (54)was way down this morning so that didn't help either ...must be booze or lack of calories ..bpm really high at 90 PP however was 38 (118/80)which surprised me...looking into todays  PP is tomorrows HRV ..

DAY 3

Day 3 :again no run again as feeling tired HRV has climbed up to a green 64 ..PP was giving a more accurate reading as to his I was feeling.

Another Day 1!..2014

Pulse pressure (36) ..best was 13 June 112/76...also did my fastest time then..now its 37 ..with BP of 123/86 ..sub 40 is my goal to train ..could this be my new training diary!? ...Got to shop today with an average bpm of 111..Think I might adopt aruyvodic way of training ..ie (220-age+resting pulse) ÷2 +5 (carts) = 118 today ..HRV 62..This is also first week back on vitD. This morning my run took me to shop:my first checkpoint @ 110bpm back in the start of November
